Review and approve customer approval drawings, manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other engineering documentation as required. Support product engineering and design activities when additional technical expertise is required. Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards, guidelines, procedures, and best practices. Ensure engineering practices and products remain compliant with applicable industry standards, including IEEE, UL, CSA, NEMA, NEC, ANSI, and others. Maintain relationships with key engineers, suppliers, industry organizations, regulatory agencies, and standards groups. Participate in industry standards activities and conferences to remain current on evolving technical and regulatory requirements. Partner with Subject Matter Experts to develop practical solutions for complex technical specifications and applications. Support research and development initiatives and new product development activities. Analyze manufacturing processes and collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead and participate in cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives. Prepare and oversee technical reports, engineering analyses, statistical reports, and other documentation. Act as a technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers. Support departmental performance objectives, backlog reporting, and other engineering or business metrics. Ensure adherence to applicable ISO 9001:2015 standards and requirements. What You'll Need to Be Successful: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline; advanced education is considered an asset. Professional Engineer (P.Eng./PE) designation is preferred. 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, ideally within power quality, power electronics, transformers, magnetics, harmonic filters, electrical equipment, or a related technical environment. 5+ years of experience in a senior technical, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Manager capacity is preferred.
