We are seeking a strategic, community-focused Manager, Planning to join our Indigenous Services team. This diverse team of professionals are dedicated to exceeding clients’ unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and governance landscape. As a trusted advisor, you’ll bring a blend of technical Planning knowledge, qualitative research skills, and project management expertise to help shape sustainable, community-driven development. Key Responsibilities * Lead the proposal and delivery of consulting engagements with a focus on planning services in the Indigenous sector such as capital plans, land/traditional use studies, financial analysis, and Comprehensive Community Plans (CCP) * Collaborate with Indigenous partners to develop planning frameworks that reflect community priorities. * Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including socio-economic, environmental, regulatory and financial analysis * Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials * Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop * Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence * Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business * Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs * Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations and providing clear feedback * Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary Skills and Experience * Degree in Urban/Regional/Rural Planning, Indigenous Studies, Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related field * 7+ years of experience in community planning, ideally with Indigenous communities * Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities * Experience with qualitative research, financial analysis and community-based engagement * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentation development * Experience in consulting or a strong interest in consulting work * Deep understanding of Indigenous governance and planning contexts an asset MyRewards@MNP With a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
