Crafted Highlights: In the role of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist working in The Fraser Valley Brewery, Chilliwack BC you will be part of the Environmental Health and Safety Team. You will play a key role in supporting and advancing the organization's EHS programs by promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The EHS Specialist provides both strategic and hands-on support through inspections, incident investigations, training, reporting, and employee engagement activities. While this role is temporary, there is a possibility of becoming permanent. This position reports to the Manager, EHS and works closely with employees, supervisors, contractors, and leadership to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and support safe and environmentally responsible operations. What You’ll Be Brewing: Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs. Conduct routine workplace Behavior Safety Observations (BOS) and monthly facility inspections. Support investigations involving near misses, first aid incidents, recordable injuries, property damage, and environmental events. Support safety management systems and site-specific EHS processes. Coach and mentor employees and supervisors on EHS requirements, safe work practices, and hazard recognition. Maintain organized and accurate EHS documentation, records, permits, and files. Key Ingredients: You have a bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. You have at least 2-5 years experience in Environmental Health & Safety within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar environment. Working knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation and environmental requirements. Experience conducting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels. Experience with EHS management systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related field. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
