You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will bring experience and knowledge in: Operating machines with coaching Safety and quality standards for operating machines Reading and writing, and fluently conversant in the language of communication as appropriate to the site Collaborating well in a diverse work environment More about this role Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Operate automatic and/or semi-automatic palletizing machines, ensuring proper stacking patterns, layer configurations, and pallet integrity. Production Monitoring: Monitor palletizer performance, line speeds, and product flow to ensure continuous and efficient operation with minimal downtime. Quality Assurance: Inspect finished pallets for proper stacking, labeling, wrapping, and overall product quality; reject and report non-conforming product. Changeovers & Setup: Perform product changeovers, adjust machine settings (stack patterns, layer counts, pallet sizes), and ensure correct configuration per production schedule. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues, jams, and misfeeds; escalate major equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel promptly. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, and basic inspections per the maintenance schedule. Material Handling: Supply empty pallets, slip sheets, and packaging materials to the palletizer area; operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements; participate in safety meetings and report hazards immediately. Documentation: Complete production logs, downtime reports, quality checklists, and shift handover documentation accurately and on time. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and 5S standards. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with upstream and downstream operators, shift leads, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow. Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating palletizing equipment or similar automated packaging machinery in a manufacturing or warehouse environment PIV licence will be an asset Shift will be weekend and flexibility when needed Education / Certifications: High School diploma Work schedule: Continental Shift Salary and Benefits: The expected annualized salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $69,000.00CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.
