Job Title Project Coordination RA, Health-Promoting Frameworks for Campuses Job Type Flexible Union MRSA Salary Grade RA Salary Grade (Jul 2026) RA 2 : Grade 13 ($21.87 - $27.61 per hour) Hybrid Work This position is eligible Position End Date 8/27/2027 Location MRU Main Campus - Calgary, AB T3E 6K6 CA (Primary) About This Position About the Role The Project Coordination Research Assistant (RA) will support the organization, coordination, and data-management activities associated with a research project, Forging Health-Promoting Frameworks for Post-Secondary Campuses examining health-promoting and violence prevention systems at Mount Royal University. The RA will work closely with the Principal Investigator to support participant coordination, research documentation, and knowledge-translation activities. This position is well suited to a student interested in research coordination, project management, public health, social work, or violence prevention research. The RA Will Gain Experience In Research project coordination Qualitative data organization Participatory and service-design research Knowledge translation Research ethics and participant coordination Development of institutional violence prevention frameworks and assessment tools The RA’s work will support the successful coordination and implementation of the project’s activities and contribute to the development of the Campus Social Determinants of Health Cohesion Index (CSDH-CI). The position provides an opportunity to participate in applied research intended to inform institutional policy, strengthen student wellbeing, and support future research and grant development focused on preventing violence on campuses. There are a total of 40 hours available for this position. Responsibilities Assist with scheduling and coordinating research activities, including interviews and service-design workshop. Support communication with research participants and external experts as directed by the Principal Investigator. Assist with preparing participant materials, meeting documents, and recruitment message. Maintain organized project records, timelines, and tracking documents. Support preparation of materials for the participatory service-design workshop. Assist with documenting workshop activities and organizing materials for analysis. Support the creation of knowledge-translation materials. Assist with preparing research summaries for institutional audiences. Contribute to the preparation of conference and manuscript materials as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data-security and institutional requirements. Qualifications An interest in social work, public health, psychology, sociology, education, health promotion, violence prevention or a related field. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Commitment to confidentiality and responsible research practices. Current undergraduate student status at Mount Royal University preferred.
