Temporary, Full-Time (November 2026 - March 2027) The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master's will be paid at a higher range. Mulgrave is one of Canada’s leading independent co-educational pre-K – 12 day schools, serving the North Shore of Vancouver. We are an established IB Continuum World School with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are now seeking a Physical and Health Education Teacher to start in November 2026. Physical and Health Education teachers teach across a range of grade levels, in addition to supporting our Athletics programme by coaching at least one team per term (core sports at Mulgrave include basketball, soccer, volleyball). Teaching and learning in PHE reflects the IBʼs conceptual focus and inquiry-based approach, and is differentiated to ensure that all students are appropriately supported and challenged to achieve their personal best. Opportunities: In this role you will: Inspire students to achieve their personal best by providing a rich and engaging programme that develops studentsʼ skills, promotes curiosity and love of learning, and prioritises well-being Teach in a fast-paced, highly collaborative professional environment, where innovation is encouraged and student learning and well-being drive everything we do Provide the best possible learning environment for our highly diverse, multicultural student population Provide opportunities to enrich learning through exploration in the athletics, outdoor education, the arts, service, leadership and more Appropriately challenge students, allowing them to feel safe, seen and belong Model a passion for sports, fitness, active living, and healthy lifestyle choices Required Qualifications: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or in possession of a valid work visa) Must have current British Columbia teacher certification, or be willing and able to attain certification before commencing Hold or be willing to obtain an age appropriate First Aid Certificate Preferred Experience and Qualities: Demonstrated an understanding of and passion for Physical Health Education, coaching, and the Teaching Games for Understanding framework (TGFU) Demonstrated understanding for teaching physical literacy and movement skills in EY Familiarity with the BC PHE curriculum and experience teaching PHE in the IB PYP and/or MYP NCCP coaching certification, training, and experience coaching in Mulhgrave’s core sports Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience teaching dance in a school, camp, or studio setting Join our Community We are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace. Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid British Columbia teacher certification and be legally entitled to work in Canada. A Bachelor of Education is required, and experience with the IB curriculum or coaching is preferred.
