Looking for a new challenge? Join our team! We are currently seeking an RTIS Manager to support the team. In this role, the RTIS Manager will plans and directs RTIS staff and activities to optimally meet corporate standards and policies and customers’ quality and regulatory requirements. Responsible for the establishment of Canadian labeling policies, control and guidance of labeling and regulatory issues, compliant to current regulations and consistent with company directives. l. Responsibilities Manage Canadian RTIS staff and functions, providing leadership and direction. Manage divisional inquiries and provide control and guidance on Canadian labeling policy and other regulatory issues, compliant to current regulations and consistent with company directives. Manage Canadian inquiries regarding regulatory issues pertaining to other countries, including customer inquiries. Develop guidelines for RTIS Coordinators, consistent with company standards for the communication of technical information to customers. Audit formulation entries and labels for accuracy and compliance to Newly Weds policies and current regulations. Provide RTIS support for Norac division. Identify and work towards the implementation of improved work processes. Participate in product development activities to support scientists, as required. Oversee all written correspondence to customer inquiries regarding regulatory issues. Keep current technical and regulatory knowledge applicable to responsibilities. Comply with Newly Weds Foods corporate personnel policies and RTIS standards and procedures. Maintain organized and accurate records. Ensure required confidentiality is maintained at all times. Comment formally through industry associations (e.g. CSA) to Health Canada/CFIA on proposed regulatory initiatives. Qualifications A college diploma in Food Science or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years experience in R&D with a food company, or equivalent. Understanding of Canadian Food Regulations, quality systems, GMP’s and HACCP required. Knowledge of U.S. labeling laws and regulations an asset. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership a must; previous management or supervisory experience an asset.

Requirements

Requires a college diploma in Food Science or a related discipline and at least five years of food-company R&D experience, or equivalent. Candidates must understand Canadian food regulations, quality systems, GMPs, and HACCP; strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are required, while U.S. labeling knowledge and prior supervisory experience are assets.
