The Opportunity We are seeking Nurse Practitioners to join healthcare teams across Newfoundland and Labrador. Nurse Practitioners are autonomous, licensed health professionals who provide comprehensive care across the lifespan. Educated at the master’s or doctoral level, NPs practice with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. In this role, you will: Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and perform procedures within legislated scope of practice Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals Coordinate care, refer patients to specialists, and support continuity across settings Promote health, prevent illness, and deliver patient‑centered, evidence‑based care This is an opportunity to practice to full scope, build strong professional relationships, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Qualifications Graduation from an approved School of Nursing Successful completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner Program Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador Minimum of five years’ combined general Medical/Surgical, Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Experience working independently with limited supervision Collaboration with Physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team Pay Range and Compensation Package Employment with NLHS: NP35 (CAD52.31 - CAD64.92 per hour) plus a biweekly pensionable Market Adjustment up to a maximum of $415.35 (currently approved until Feb28, 2027, with possibility of extension) The following incentives may be available and may be combined. Eligibility for incentives is subject to a return‑of‑service commitment, which varies based on the incentive amount. Signing bonus up to $20,000 depending on the location of the site. Requirements
