Casual Cafeteria Workers work on-call in the schools they are interested in throughout CCRCE. Cafeteria Workers are responsible for:- Preparing and serving food from scratch for school food programs, primarily the lunch program- Performing kitchen duties such as maintaining food safety logs (e.g. temperature checks), washing dishes, collecting and removing compost, recyclables and garbage, cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, services stations and floorsRestocking supplies as required Minimum Requirements - Completion of a culinary course preferred-Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.- Completion of food safety training program (or willingness to complete upon offer of employment).- Able to perform physically strenuous duties of the position, including heavy lifting (possibly up to 50 lb), walking and/or standing for the majority of each shift, and working in an environment with heat fluctuations. - Availability for early morning shift start times as required.- Valid NS Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Additional Assets - Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact with people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds - Strong time-management skills.
