What the role offers: Design, develop, and enhance scalable enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Web Services, REST APIs, and messaging technologies. Apply AI technologies and modern development practices to improve product capabilities and development efficiency. Work with relational databases and cloud-based architectures to build high-performance, reliable solutions. Contribute to object-oriented design, architecture, and system modeling for complex software systems. Utilize open-source technologies and platforms including Tomcat, Linux, Apache, and Microsoft SQL Server. Drive quality through automation, including continuous integration, automated testing, performance testing, and release certification processes. Collaborate closely with Product Management, Operations, and Professional Services to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions. Help build resilient, always-on software where reliability, performance, and scalability are critical to client success. What you need to succeed: BS in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of experience developing enterprise software products. Strong software development experience with Java/J2EE, Web Services, REST APIs, JMS, and a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles. Knowledge of AI technologies and an interest in applying AI to improve development efficiency and product capabilities. Experience with relational databases, open-source technologies such as Tomcat, Linux, Apache, MS SQL Server, and Struts, and modern software development practices. Familiarity with development automation, including continuous integration, unit testing, performance testing, functional testing, and certification testing. Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively across Product Management, Operations, and Professional Services teams. Self-motivated with a strong focus on building high-performance, scalable, reliable, and configurable enterprise software solutions. Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Salary Range: $98,080.00 - $147,120.00; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
