Job summary
Overview Our client, a growing manufacturer of highly configurable products, is seeking a Product Configuration Specialist to own and improve product configuration and product data processes across CPQ and ERP systems. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing, you will ensure products are accurately configured, quoted, and manufactured while maintaining the integrity of product structures, BOMs, and system data. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with manufacturing systems, solving complex configuration challenges, and improving processes in a growing organization. Responsibilities Build, maintain, and optimize product configuration models within a CPQ environment. Develop and maintain configuration rules, dependencies, constraints, and pricing logic. Translate engineering drawings, specifications, and product requirements into structured product configuration models. Ensure product configurations align with ERP data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing requirements. Maintain accurate product data, item masters, and configuration documentation while supporting new product introductions and engineering changes. Troubleshoot configuration and product data issues impacting quoting, production, and customer orders. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Materials, and Customer Service teams to improve configuration accuracy, data quality, and overall system performance. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in product configuration, CPQ, manufacturing systems, ERP, or product data management. Experience supporting configurable, customized, or engineered-to-order products within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, and manufacturing processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product data. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Experience with ERP systems and CPQ/product configuration platforms is considered an asset. Exposure to systems such as Infor CSI (Syteline), Configura CET, Epicor CPQ, Salesforce CPQ, KBMax, or similar platforms is considered an asset. Diploma or degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is considered an asset. Why Join?
