This role sits at the heart of the organization's Research team, where you'll help turn industry trends, member feedback, and organizational data into insights that actually inform decisions. From designing surveys and benchmarking studies to building dashboards and briefing materials, you'll be involved in every stage of the research process - and your work will be seen and used by leadership, industry professionals, and stakeholders alike. Designing and coordinating quantitative and qualitative research projects, including surveys, interviews, consultations, focus groups, benchmarking studies, literature reviews, environmental scans, secondary research, and data validation Analyzing industry trends, member needs, and organizational data to spot patterns, risks, and opportunities Translating findings into clear, actionable insights: briefing docs, reports, dashboards, presentations Managing multiple research projects at once - workplans, timelines, quality checks, progress reporting Responding to ad hoc research and analysis requests from leadership Evaluate data sources and determine appropriate research methods, analytical approaches, and visualization formats based on project requirements and audience needs. Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, research partners, external consultants, vendors, and industry stakeholders on research initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve research methodologies, processes, templates, dashboards, data sources, reporting formats, and insight products. Applying responsible data, privacy, and ethical research practices across everything you do What You Bring to the Job You're someone who's comfortable moving between the details of data and the bigger picture - able to design a solid research approach, dig into the analysis, and then translate it all into insights that make sense to a non-technical audience. You bring a mix of analytical rigor, strong writing skills, and the organizational chops to juggle multiple projects and deadlines without losing quality along the way. A degree in Business, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field 3-5+ years in research, data analysis, market research, business intelligence, or program evaluation Experience designing surveys, interviews, focus groups, benchmarking studies, or environmental scans Comfort with data cleaning, validation, and research documentation Experience within a professional or industry association, not-for-profit, or member-based organization is considered an asset Bilingual English/French fluency is considered an asset Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills; familiarity with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus A sharp analytical mind– you can break a messy problem into parts, weigh the trade-offs, and land on the right approach Strong writing skills– you can turn dense findings into plain-language insights for leadership and stakeholders Understanding of privacy, confidentiality, responsible AI use, and ethical research practices, including PIPEDA, is considered an asset We really look forward to hearing from you, but please understand that we will only be contacting those that are applicable for the role!
