This is an Hourly position. $2.25/hour for working 3rd shift Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Associate BLS for healthcare provider CPR Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Work, OR; EMT-B, License in the State of Illinois PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 6 or more months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Able to communicate effectively in person; by telephone; and computer messaging 6 or more months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
