Heavy Duty Mechanic Diversified Transportation is currently seeking a full-time Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Fort McMurray. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a large fleet of motorcoaches. Diversified offers an above-average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training. Work Shift: Full-time, 7 and 7 shifts (12-hour shift, rotating between nights and days) Wage: $59.63 per hour, plus $2.00 per hour night premium, and $2.00 per hour CVIP license premium Great things we offer! * Annual tool and boot allowance * Shifts to support a healthy work life balance * Health and dental benefits * RRSP following one year of employment Core Competencies: * Team player * Reliability * Organized * Safety focused mindset Job Duties & Responsibilities: * Maintenance and repair of motor coaches * CVIP Inspections * Respond to breakdowns * Supervision of apprentices Qualifications & Skills Required: * Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs * Excellent interpersonal skills * Knowledge of computer technology trends in the service industry, i.e. diagnostic programs and service manuals * Ability to develop new solutions and techniques to solve problems related to new and/or different equipment * Keep maintenance reports and documentation * Ability to obtain clearance for the following tasks are required: driving record check (abstract), physical demands analysis, drug & alcohol test, criminal record check Education Requirements: * Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (recognized in Canada) * Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) is considered an asset or ability to achieve Provincial CVIP * Journeyperson certification, other levels may be considered * Valid class 1, 2Q or 3Q driver’s license is considered an asset #ZRHP
