Project Coordinator / Project Manager Building Science and Sustainability Team Victoria, BC Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 Pinchin is seeking a Project Coordinator or Project Manager to join our Building Science and Sustainability (BSS) team in Victoria. This new role will report directly to the Operations Manager for Vancouver Island. We’re seeking a bright, motivated individual who is eager to make an impact and contribute to continued growth of our Transactional Due Diligence and Building Science service line in BC and on the island. In this role, you will lead and deliver a range of technical services including Property Condition Assessments (PCA), Depreciation Reports (DR)Building Envelope Condition Assessments (BECA), envelope restoration design, and on-site inspection and reporting for a diverse client base. You will also execute, coordinate, and / or manage projects from start to finish, provide technical guidance to a team of support staff, and play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of the BSS group through strong leadership and collaboration. Role Overview: This role involves managing, coordinating and executing a variety of project activities, including site investigations and technical reporting for PCAs, DRs and BECAs, as well as training support, and quality assurance initiatives. You’ll be responsible for aligning the right resources, people, tools, equipment, and documentation to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish, while working with a diverse mix of national, regional, and local clients. The work offers exposure to a broad range of building science initiatives, opportunities to collaborate closely with junior staff and support teams to develop leadership and mentorship skills, and partnership with finance and administrative teams to support the financial management of projects. Overall, the role offers meaningful responsibility, professional challenges, and significant potential for long-term growth. Your Impact * Review incoming requests, craft proposals and schedule and conduct site visits and inspections * Perform site investigations for PCAs, DRs and BECAs * Author reports based on the site investigations * Design, coordinate permit application and oversee building envelope restoration (Supported by our Building Science Engineers and experts) * Schedule and supervise sub-contractors and liaise between clients and subcontractors * Participate in business development and marketing to new and existing clients What You’ll Bring to Pinchin * Degree or Diploma in a related discipline required * 3-5+ years of relevant experience with PCAs /DRs/ BECAs * Experience with building envelope restoration design and execution coordination will be valued * Thorough knowledge of the construction and performance of various building envelope assemblies and building science concepts * Ability to work well in a team environment * Familiarity with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management * Experience with business development initiatives and client interaction For Current Employees Current employees are encouraged to speak with their HR Advisor for information on the application process.
