Location: Markham, ON Employment Type: Contract, 12 months Work arrangement: 4 days onsite Only candidates legally eligible to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship will be contacted About the Role We're looking for a strong Full Stack Developer to join a product engineering team building modern mobile and cloud-based applications used by customers and field teams. This is a hands-on role where you'll work across native iOS, React Native, backend services, and Azure cloud infrastructure — taking features from design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production support. What you'll work with Mobile Swift / SwiftUI React Native / Expo Native iOS capabilities and integrations Authentication, camera, location, push notifications and background functionality Mobile applications designed for real-world, sometimes unreliable network conditions Backend Node.js / TypeScript NestJS REST APIs and API contracts SQL and data modeling Messaging and asynchronous processing Authentication, authorization and RBAC Integration with enterprise systems and third-party services Cloud & DevOps Microsoft Azure Azure Container Apps Azure SQL API Management Key Vault & Managed Identity App Configuration Application Insights Containers and CI/CD What we're looking for We're particularly interested in engineers who have production experience across both mobile and backend development. You should have: Strong professional experience with Swift/iOS Hands-on experience with React Native Solid Node.js/TypeScript backend experience, ideally with NestJS Experience building and consuming production APIs Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Azure Understanding of authentication, security and role-based access Experience writing automated tests and supporting applications in production Strong debugging, problem-solving and communication skills A mindset of owning features end-to-end rather than working in a single technical silo Nice to have React Native + Expo SwiftUI and modern Swift concurrency Azure Container Apps Azure API Management Entra ID / MSAL Azure Key Vault / Managed Identity Application Insights Event-driven architecture and messaging Offline-first or field-service mobile applications Experience working with CI/CD and containerized applications PlanIT is an equal opportunity employer.
