Payroll Specialist - US: On behalf of our Software client, Procom is searching for a Payroll Specialist - US for a contract position. Job Description: The Payroll Specialist will be part of a team responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our client's U.S. entities. This role involves payroll data entry, validating and auditing payroll information, and preparing payroll reports. The position supports the modernization of payroll operations by implementing scalable payroll platforms and streamlined processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Responsibilities: Process payroll for U.S. employees accurately and timely Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll issues within SLAs Audit HR system data and payroll interfaces for accuracy and data integrity Reconcile payroll results and investigate discrepancies Administer Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) payroll transactions Collaborate with payroll team members and other departments to ensure compliance Mandatory Skills: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in US and/or Canada Payroll Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel Excellent time management and prioritization skills Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical abilities Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Nice-to-Have Skills: Professional certification or membership with the National Payroll Institute (NPI) Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification Experience with Canadian payroll Proactive and self-motivated Assignment Length: This is a 6-month contract to start Assignment Location: Fully onsite however working location is flexible within SWO & the GTA
