PAL Technical Services is currently hiring a Stores Manager to join our team in St. John’s, NL. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager – Strategic Sourcing, the Stores Manager will refine, develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of stores processes. Additional duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: * Develop official reference materials for PAL stores processes. Continue to update these documents as improvements and changes are made. This role will be the SME for all PAL stores related processes. * Work in conjunction with the Procurement Manager and Stores Clerks to best support operations and manage inventory at each base. * Conduct regular review of type and quantity at each base and redistribute as required. * Determine root cause of inventory inaccuracies and implement preventative actions. * Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to reduce ageing and excess inventory levels. This also ties directly to current supply chain initiatives. * Lead and coach the current team of Stores Clerks on best practices and current initiatives. * Ensure all staff have adequate training and each base has adequate resources to support the operation. * Actively participate in resolving any non-conformities related to stores processes that are raised in the SMS system. Minimum Qualifications: * A degree or diploma from a recognized post secondary institution. * A minimum of 5 years Inventory Control experience – both hands on and in an electronic inventory management program. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Strong analytical and organizational skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products. * Great leadership qualities.
