Role Summary We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on a variety of small industrial construction projects. This position operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation and offers FIFO travel from Calgary or Edmonton, or a travel allowance for candidates commuting to Conklin, AB. Key Responsibilities Install electrical systems, equipment, and components. Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment. Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites. Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment. Other duties as required. Qualifications / Requirements Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred) Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/EMP, Confined Space, ESTS, CSTS & First Aid Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment Valid driver's license Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage ranging from $47.30 - $54.35, commensurate with experience and certification Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate Comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, including dental and vision coverage, physiotherapy, massage therapy and mental health support, etc. Retirement savings plan with employer matching Employee Referral Bonus Program, offering up to $1,000 per successful referral Why Work For PTW Build Your Trade. Requirements
Requires a valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate, with Red Seal certification preferred, and at least three years of industrial construction electrical experience. Candidates must have the listed safety certifications, knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and occupational health and safety requirements, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work shifts and in varied site conditions.
