Job summary
Financial Reporting Contractor Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Contractor to support a significant organizational transformation. Working in a hybrid environment with three days per week in office and remote flexibility on the remaining days, you will lead the financial reporting requirements of a newly established entity, ensure compliance with ASPE standards, and act as the primary liaison with external auditors. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, financial reporting experience, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with ASPE requirements Consolidate multiple legal entities and ensure consistent application of accounting principles Lead the financial reporting process for a newly established reporting entity Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process Coordinate audit planning activities and provide required documentation and support Develop and maintain working papers that support financial reporting and audit requirements Establish accounting policies, procedures, and technical accounting documentation as needed Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support reporting requirements during organizational change Your strengths include: Significant experience in financial reporting and technical accounting Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial statement preparation Experience consolidating multiple legal entities and complex reporting structures Proven ability to work effectively with external auditors and manage audit deliverables Strong understanding of accounting policies, procedures, and financial reporting requirements Experience preparing working papers, accounting memos, and supporting documentation Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Professional accounting designation (CPA) considered an asset If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the “Apply” button to send your resume directly to Ben Eckstrand.
