Equipment Operator- Class 1/3 Driver RFNOW Inc. | Virden, Mb RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals interested in joining our Construction and Maintenance Team as a Equipment Operator- Class 1/3 Driver. The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day operations of construction projects, including the preparation and installation of fiber internet infrastructure. This role involves operating a variety of construction equipment and commercial vehicles while supporting field crews in the safe and efficient completion of projects. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles in support of fiber optic construction projects. * Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites. * Load and unload equipment and materials safely and efficiently. * Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required inspection reports before use. * Report repair issues, maintenance requirements, or equipment hazards immediately. * Clean, lubricate, and perform basic maintenance on equipment. * Secure attachments and equipment as required for project tasks. * Use proper load securement and tie-down procedures to ensure safe transportation. * Assist with general labour duties as required to support construction projects. * Ensure all work activities are completed safely and in compliance with company PPE standards and safety procedures. * Complete and submit accurate daily paperwork, including equipment inspection forms, driver logs, and other required documentation. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE * Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License required. * Experience operating heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles. * Experience hauling equipment and pulling trailers is considered an asset. * Experience working around underground utilities and reading utility locate sheets is considered an asset. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Must be authorized to work in Canada. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. * Ability to operate power and hand tools. * Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. * Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labour for extended periods. * Ability to climb in and out of equipment safely and frequently.
