About the Company A well-established and respected law firm located in downtown Toronto is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join their Municipal team. Responsibilities Prepare and draft legal correspondence, court documents, pleadings, and briefs File documents electronically through Ontario’s court filing systems Manage litigation calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, and trial dates Coordinate service and filing of legal documents Organize and maintain physical and electronic files Schedule examinations for discovery, mediations, and client meetings Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional manner Provide administrative support to Litigators Requirements 4+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Litigation Diploma or certificate in legal administration or law clerk program Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Ontario court systems Proficiency with legal document formatting and MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Experience using legal practice management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a high level of accuracy Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information Compensation Salary up to $70,000, commensurate with experience Hybrid remote work arrangement, working 3 days in office Full-time, permanent position RRSP matching We do not use AI to screen candidates.
