Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Position Summary: Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for Medical-Surgical units across British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work within acute care hospital settings, delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within Medical-Surgical units. Conduct patient assessments, establish care plans, and evaluate clinical outcomes. Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and prescribed treatments. Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status. Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and discharge processes. Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation. Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Minimum one year of recent Medical-Surgical or acute care nursing experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities. Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
