Join our team as an Inside Technical Sales Representative, where you'll engage with customers via phone and email, collaborating with internal and external partners to meet their needs. You'll conduct technical sales briefings and research customer specifications to tailor product solutions. This position is based out of our Apogee Steel Fabrication location in Mississauga, ON. Roles And Responsibilities Manage inbound inquiries and requests for Quotes (RFQs) Interpret and qualify customer-provided documents such as prints, CAD files, and specifications Assemble accurate technical fabrication quotes, including pricing and availability Order entry and CRM maintenance to ensure accuracy Conduct pro-active customer follow ups and maintain accounts Manage part specific supply chains by utilizing internal and external processing assets to meet customer quality and delivery requirements Support contunous improvement initiatives across sales and operational functions Communicate issues, risks, delays or changes that could impact customer orders or operational performance Coordinate between departments - sales, operations, quality, outside service providers, shipping and receiving All other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred 1-3 years of sales experience in the metal industry 1-3 years experience in sales or customer service is an asset Print reading required. CAD or drafting experience a plus Must have a full understanding of tolerances, materials, specifications, and processing options Experience with SAP is highly preferred MS Office software skills required, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Working knowledge of geometry, strong math skills, and a technical aptitude Ryerson Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer. A starting salary higher than $50,000 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
