Learn more at shn.ca Job Description Position Overview: Responsibilities As a Pharmacy Assistant you will be responsible for technical and clerical functions in the area assigned. All rotations include responsibility for continuous quality improvement and workload measurement. Responsibilities include: Transporting medications and picking up prescriptions Pre-packaging Preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds Stock replenishment Filling prescriptions Quality assurance activities including but not limited to: expiry date checking, medication storage area inspections, audits, gathering patient information Other duties as assigned Company Vacancy/Request For Transfer The completion of this online form serves as your application and will be used to determine if you meet the requirements of this position. Requirements Pharmacy Technician program graduates awaiting registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists Minimum of 1 year related experience Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
