Requirements And Qualifications The successful applicant must have or be eligible for certification to teach in British Columbia and possess: Qualifications and/or experience in the teaching area/grade level posted; Knowledge of the BC curriculum and competencies; Strong assessment practices, including assessment as and for learning; Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum, or familiarity with and understanding of local Indigenous culture and commitment to integrate it into the curriculum; The ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to accommodate the learning needs of all students; Successful experience integrating experiential, on-the-land and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum; A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills; A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting; A commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum; The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community. The salary range for full-time teaching positions within Gold Trail School District is $63,735 to $116,190, with placement in accordance with provisions in the Collective Agreement. The district offers a competitive benefits and pension package. This position is eligible for a pre-employment hiring incentive of $5000 in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position.
