What You’ll Do Reporting to our Payroll & Benefits Lead, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a service-focused approach to a multi-company, multi-province payroll environment. In our Shared Service environment, you will be effective working both independently and collaboratively. Process accurate and compliant payroll across the Scotia Investments Family of Companies, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and data protection requirements Administer employee programs, including enrolments, changes, and terminations across payroll, pension, and benefits platforms Respond to payroll, pension, and benefits inquiries and support team leaders in the effective use of our systems and processes Complete reconciliations, remittances, and billings, and conduct audits to ensure compliance across payroll and benefits programs Collaborate with external vendors to support smooth program and plan administration Partner with the People & Culture team on disability case management and attendance programs Support P&C reporting and analytics, including P&C metrics and funding program submissions What You’ll Bring PCP designation required Diploma or degree in business administration, commerce, accounting, human resources, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience CPHR or CEBS designation is an asset Experience with Payworks or a similar payroll/HRIS platform Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Comfort and experience working with the details of collective agreements Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills Clear, service-oriented communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment We are proudly an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse, inclusive environment.
