The Role Contributes to the overall success of the Asset Servicing in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all Income Payments including reconciliation of suspense, depot, and control account activities. Support process developments to mitigate operational risks and reduce manual work. Support training and learning for newly on-boarded team members Deliver service commitments to the clients’ satisfaction by ensuring that all work functions are completed accurately and on a timely manner. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Ensure that all payments received from depositories/agents including wires and cheques are processed accurately by end of day. Ensures that all SLAs are adhered to, without exception. Responsible for prompt escalation of any issues that may cause financial or reputational issues to Scotiabank or its clients. Strong data reconciliation abilities via running reports, balancing, and querying large data sets. Ensure the accurate collection, management and timely processing of all Coupon, Interest and Maturity payments and pivots by reviewing online reports/files and processing payments received from depositories and issuers. Dynamic individual, that can learn quickly and is a change agent. Provide ongoing assistance to the team with regular updates, training and cross training other team members as required, and providing support with other functions as required. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Completes sundry and other ad-hoc duties as needed. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. Frequent interactions with Front Office – GBM, Scotia McLeod, iTrade and Scotia Trust. Daily interactions with internal partners – GWO Operations, Finance and Wealth. Regular interactions with external fund companies/issuers. Independent processing and reconciliation of Income distributions. Excellent time management skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and volumes. Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have: VBA, SQL or Python skills are preferred. Broadridge experience is nice to have. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Capital Markets; and various financial instruments across Fixed Income and Equities 3-5 years’ experience in financial services Business/Finance degree What’s in it for you? Requirements

Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in financial services and a degree in Business or Finance. Proficiency in data reconciliation and knowledge of capital markets and financial instruments are required.
