About the role
**Teaching Position – Social Emotional Learning and Prep Teacher ******
School District No. 10 – Arrow Lakes, in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern BC, is situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Sinixt, Sylix, Ktunaxa, and Secwepemc Peoples. We have the following temporary contract teaching opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year:

Salary Range:****$67,040 - $119,548 (based on 1.0 FTE)
Position Overview

Assignment / Schedule
The is role is to provide social-emotional learning (SEL) classroom and small group instruction as well as prep coverage.
**Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:****__ **
- A valid Teaching Certificate from the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
- Post-secondary coursework in social and emotional development and learning
- Successful experience working with school-based teams to integrate socio-emotional learning and self- regulated learning into school schedules and activities
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and strengths working within a team environment
- Successful experience integrating socio-emotional learning and self-regulated learning
- Expertise in specific social, emotional, and behavioural needs, self-regulation and SOGI 123 curricula
- Commitment to co-developing the School Growth Plan and collaboratively organizing for learning
- Professional learning inquiry experience that informs professional practice
- Commitment and expertise in building relationships with parents and community
- Willingness to participate in the school's extra-curricular programs will be an asset
