Title: Shipping Supervisor, PM shift Location: Port Coquitlam, BC Job Type: Salary Shift time & schedule: 6pm - 2.30am (Mon to Fri) Position Summary Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipping Supervisor is responsible for loading and unloading product into and from trucks, records maintenance (rotations, time keeping, and quality), completing invoices and arranging transportation. Position organizes and warehouses freezers, coolers and the shipping dock area and is accountable for the supervision and training of shipping staff. Accountable for managing inbound loads from sister plants and vendors, including export loads for the Port Coquitlam and Abbotsford facilities. Position may work shift work, when required. Maintain a clean and organized workplace for safety and quality. Key Accountabilities Accountable to accurately and efficiently perform duties to prepare quality poultry products for delivery to our customers; Accountable to accurately maintain shipping records; Accountable for the effective supervision and training of shipping staff; ensuring all tasks are completed to specification; Accountable to ensure a safe working environment for employees, customers and visitors, and the maintenance all mobile equipment (power jacks, forklifts, and transport units); Accountable to maintain warehouse operational standards; Implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; Able to perform discipline as required; Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Grade 12 Diploma coupled with three years shipping experience, preferably in the food industry; Technical Shipping knowledge; Basic computer knowledge and math skills. (CSB, TMS, Outlook, Excel, Word); Ability to communicate in English both verbally, and in writing. Work Conditions And Physical Capabilities Normal physical effort. Normal sensory effort.
