Sources Community Resources Society is an internationally-accredited, community-based, not-for-profit multi-service agency that has served as a dependable source of help, encouragement and hope for individuals in the communities of White Rock, Surrey, Delta, Langley, Prince George, Parksville and beyond since 1978. At SOURCES, we are committed to learning about, celebrating and incorporating Indigenous knowledge into our practices as we continue our work in truth, reconciliation and resurgence. We acknowledge that our work takes place on the unceded traditional and ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples and our offices are located on the lands of the Semiahmoo, Kwantlen, Katzie and Tsawwassen First Nations in the Lower Mainland; the Lheidli T’enneh, part of the Dakelh (Carrier) First Nations in the North; and the Coast Salish peoples including the Qualicum First Nation on Vancouver Island. We touch the lives of thousands of individuals and families across the Lower Mainland, Northern British Columbia and Vancouver Island every year. To serve them, our team of dedicated staff and devoted volunteers offer a variety of social wellness programs and services through more than 20 locations, including Community Resource Centres, that are continually expanding to meet individual and community needs. We strive to create more vibrant and resilient communities by offering support to children, youth, families, persons with disabilities, seniors, and others who are coping with isolation, addiction, poverty, disability and conflict. Provide direct one-to-one teaching to children with autism and other developmental disorders, following programs and interventions directed by a Behaviour Consultant. Track and report client progress, maintain accurate session notes and files, contribute to case management, and participate in team meetings and administrative duties.

Build supportive relationships with residents and help them develop independence through life-skills coaching, personal care, meal support, medication administration, and person-centered plans. Document activities, provide transportation and appointment support, liaise with stakeholders, assist with crisis management and budgets, and maintain a safe environment.

Coordinate daily food bank operations, including food sorting, stocking, distribution, product tracking, and volunteer recruitment, scheduling, training, and supervision. Support clients and community partners, maintain safety and program standards, complete administrative and statistical reporting, and provide driving or staff coverage as needed.

Support individuals in pursuing learning, inclusion, friendship, community engagement, and employment goals, including obtaining and maintaining employment. Build community and employer networks, create schedules for the caseload, and use person-centered strategies to reduce barriers and strengthen individual capabilities.

Provide daytime activities and community access opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, supporting their independence, well-being, and social participation. Build relationships, assist with personal care and daily needs, document progress, and maintain a safe environment while following positive behaviour support strategies.

Provide administrative and project coordination for the development of Foundry South Surrey/White Rock, including workplans, meetings, records, service planning, partnerships, and community engagement. Coordinate youth and family advisory activities, fundraising support, consultations, events, and readiness activities leading to the centre’s opening.

Create a compassionate and culturally safe environment for people who use substances, set up and take down consumption stations, and provide overdose response, including naloxone when needed. Offer harm-reduction supplies and information, coordinate with service partners, advocate for participants, and report program utilization data.

The consultant provides integrated, family-centered developmental services to children from birth to three years old who are delayed or at risk of delay. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, home visits, and coordinating with additional support services.
