What & Why: Our client is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design and develop secure, scalable backend applications supporting cybersecurity products. You'll collaborate with security, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, contribute to architecture decisions, and help enhance software performance, reliability, and security. Who: Our client is an established Canadian organization focused on cybersecurity and internet infrastructure. Known for its innovative technology and collaborative culture, this organization offers meaningful work protecting Canadians online. You: You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role: 7+ years of software development experience. Strong Java (Spring/Play Framework) or Python development skills. Experience with Linux, Bash scripting, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication, and cybersecurity principles. Experience with Docker, Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-native technologies. Understanding of DNS, networking, and relational/NoSQL databases. Exposure to EDR, XDR, or related security technologies. Computer Science degree or related education. What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires 7+ years of software development experience, strong Java (Spring or Play Framework) or Python skills, and a computer science degree or related education. Candidates should also have experience with Linux, Bash, CI/CD, secure coding, authentication, infrastructure or cloud-native tools, DNS, networking, databases, and exposure to EDR or XDR technologies.
