Architect - Residential Renovations, Custom Homes & Multi-Family About The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Architect to join a dynamic, collaborative, and award-winning architectural design team specializing in residential projects throughout the Greater Vancouver area. The ideal candidate is passionate about design excellence, client service, and innovative solutions for residential construction. Key Responsibilities Design residential renovation, custom home, multi-family, and tenant improvement (T.I.) projects. Conduct and oversee site measurements and preparation of as-built drawings. Prepare and supervise the development of construction and permit drawings using AutoCAD based on conceptual designs and sketches. Create and oversee the production of 3D models and presentation drawings. Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members. Manage municipal permit applications and liaise with local authorities throughout the approval process. Ensure project documentation complies with applicable building codes, municipal bylaws, and industry standards. Qualifications Registered Architect (AIBC) or actively working toward AIBC registration. Minimum of 10 years of experience in British Columbia's residential construction industry. Strong knowledge of the BC Building Code, BC Step Code, and municipal zoning and building bylaws. Extensive experience with both residential renovations and new Part 9 single-family construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other architectural design software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office applications. Familiarity with WorkSafeBC residential construction health and safety requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client-facing abilities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and professional growth within a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with sustainable and high-performance building standards, including: Built Green Net Zero Passive House Other energy-efficient residential design practices

Requirements
