Job summary

Location: Fredericton, NB Job Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls activities on assigned projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary coordination. Develop electrical equipment specifications and support equipment selection and vendor drawing reviews. Perform engineering calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, lighting, and electrical load analysis. Apply the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and applicable safety standards to engineering designs. Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and other project deliverables for quality and compliance. Conduct QA/QC reviews of electrical engineering packages. Support field activities, including site investigations, construction support, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Provide technical mentorship and design oversight to junior engineers and designers. Contribute to internal engineering standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Power Systems specialization is preferred. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGNB. Experience & Skills 8+ years of experience in an industrial consulting, engineering, or design environment. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, standards, and practices. Experience with industrial electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience in Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, or Power Generation environments is considered an asset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
