Seeking a Litigation Assistant/Law Clerk with 3+ years of litigation experience to support litigation and mortgage enforcement matters. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proficient with Ontario court procedures, and comfortable managing files from start to finish. Responsibilities Prepare, serve, and file pleadings, motions, Affidavits of Documents, and other court documents Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, motions, and legal documents from dictation Assist with litigation and mortgage enforcement files from opening through completion Prepare for trials, including pre-trial memoranda, witness coordination, and hearing materials Review discovery undertakings, lawyer notes, and transcripts and obtain Answers to Undertakings Manage court filings, scheduling, process servers, and communications with court offices Maintain files, calendars, dockets, timekeeping, and monthly billing Communicate with lawyers, clients, opposing parties, and other professionals Provide overflow support to the litigation team as required Qualifications Legal Assistant or Law Clerk certificate required 3+ years of litigation assistant/clerk experience Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and provincial practice directions Experience with electronic billing and document management systems Proficiency with Adobe, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Experience with document review and litigation file management Familiarity with programs such as DocuSign, OneKey, ACL, and Ghost Practice is an asset Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with clients, lawyers, and court offices Ability to work independently and take direction from senior litigation counsel

Requirements
A Legal Assistant or Law Clerk certificate and at least three years of litigation assistant or clerk experience are required, along with strong knowledge of Ontario civil procedure and provincial practice directions. Candidates should be proficient with litigation file management, document review, electronic billing, and Microsoft Office and Adobe, with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
