Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Relationship Manager who enjoys getting out into the market, building relationships, developing new business, and becoming a trusted partner to their clients. You won't be starting from zero. The brokerage will provide qualified business opportunities and leads, while you'll also be expected to build your own network, generate new relationships, and develop your own pipeline. Responsibilities: Relationship Management & Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, entrepreneurs, referral partners, and commercial clients. Identify new business through networking, referrals, prospecting, community involvement, and existing relationships. Respond to and develop opportunities provided by the brokerage. Build and manage an active pipeline of commercial opportunities. Conduct regular outreach and follow-up with prospective and existing clients. Represent the brokerage at networking events, industry functions, and community events. Client Advisory Take the time to understand each client's business, financial position, objectives, and financing requirements. Work with clients to identify appropriate commercial financing solutions. Gather and review relevant financial and business information. Guide clients through the financing process from initial conversation through funding. Portfolio & Pipeline Management Maintain an organized and active pipeline of new and existing opportunities. Follow up consistently on leads, referrals, and outstanding opportunities. Maintain accurate client information, activity, and documentation within the brokerage's systems. Work collaboratively with internal team members and lending partners to move opportunities forward. Meet established business development, revenue, and relationship-building targets. Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience in small business banking, commercial lending, business financing, or a similar relationship-based financial services role. Strong understanding of the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a portfolio of business relationships. Proven ability to generate new business through networking, referrals, and relationship development. Comfortable developing new relationships and proactively approaching prospective clients. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and motivated by results. Strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages.
