Location: Calgary, AB Type: Full-Time | On-Site Salary: $65-$75K Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team in Calgary. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll while ensuring compliance with company policies, Canadian payroll legislation, and applicable employment standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now. Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time for all employees. Maintain payroll records and calculate wages, deductions, benefits, and other payroll adjustments. Process payroll taxes, statutory remittances, garnishments, and other court-ordered deductions. Reconcile payroll reports and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Work closely with HR and Finance regarding employee changes, benefits, deductions, and other payroll-related matters. Support payroll audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing and payroll administration. Mandatory experience with ADP Workforce Now. Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and employment standards. Experience processing payroll taxes, remittances, garnishments, and other statutory deductions. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with payroll reporting. Power BI experience is considered an asset. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across HR and Finance. PCP certification or relevant education in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
