This is a unique opportunity to join a start-up operation backed by a global public company and build the finance function from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: Own the full finance and accounting function. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Oversee CIRO/MFR and other regulatory financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial controls, and tax. Partner with the Canadian CEO and COO on financial and commercial decisions. Provide reporting and insights to Group Finance and international leadership. Present financial information to senior leadership, the Board, and regulators. Manage external auditors, advisors, and other finance partners. Build scalable finance processes and, over time, help grow the Canadian finance team. Requirements: CPA designation required. Approximately 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience. Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background. Experience with regulatory reporting, ideally within an investment dealer, capital markets, financial services, or fintech environment. Public company experience strongly preferred. Canadian accounting experience required. Must be comfortable operating as a hands-on, stand-alone finance leader in a start-up environment. Strong communication and executive presentation skills. Regulatory Qualifications: The ideal candidate will already have completed the required CFO and PDO regulatory examinations. Additional Information: The Mason Group is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible recruitment process. We welcome applicants from all qualified candidates. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates participating in all stages of the recruitment process, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
