Job Description As a Game Designer at Ubisoft Montréal, you will work across a range of game systems and mechanics for a multiplayer sandbox shooter built with Unreal Engine. The game combines player-versus-player and player-versus-environment gameplay (PvPvE). You’ll design ways for players to interact and make choices that matter. Throughout production, you’ll adjust and balance your designs while considering both the details and the overall player experience. What you’ll do Design game mechanics and systems aligned with the game’s design and creative direction Work with cross-functional teams to integrate your assigned features Build prototypes in Unreal Engine and assess their performance Adapt your designs to technical and production constraints Find solutions to issues affecting game features Create and maintain design documentation for collaborating teams Refine features through testing, adjustment, and balancing Qualifications What you bring to the team Apply deep game design expertise across different systems and mechanics Use Unreal Engine, along with word processors and spreadsheets Bring thoughtful design skills to a range of gameplay problems Demonstrate knowledge of the AAA video game market Bring experience shipping AAA games as an asset for this role Share your enthusiasm for building high-quality AAA games Communicate and present your ideas clearly in writing and conversation Bring empathy, collaboration, curiosity, resourcefulness, and flexibility What to send our way Send your CV highlighting relevant skills and experience Share examples of your game design projects as files or links Contract: Permanent Work flexibility: Office-based
