Job summary
Job Summary The Strategist, Web Content develops and optimizes UFV’s public-facing digital experiences, contributing to websites and digital platforms that advance institutional goals and audience needs. Working within a user-centered and data-informed framework, the incumbent collaborates with university stakeholders to plan, implement, maintain, and improve digital experiences across UFV’s web ecosystem. Responsibilities include information architecture, user experience, web content management systems (CMS), accessibility, analytics, web standards, and digital project coordination. The incumbent supports the implementation and maintenance of web structures, templates, navigation systems, and publishing practices that promote accessible, consistent, and engaging online experiences aligned with UFV standards and brand guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, web design, user experience, digital marketing, communications, information systems, or a related field from a recognized institution. Three (3) years’ related experience developing digital experiences, websites, or digital projects in an institutional, agency, corporate, or business environment. Experience working with enterprise web content management systems and digital projects involving information architecture, accessibility, UX, analytics, governance, or website optimization. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive web design principles, and accessibility standards. Knowledge of user experience (UX), information architecture, usability principles, and digital content strategy best practices. Experience with web analytics and reporting tools, along with understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices. Familiarity with reviewing digital content for accessibility and usability considerations. Strong organizational, analytical, relationship-building, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience providing training, support, or guidance to users and stakeholders is an asset. Experience working in post-secondary education or another large, decentralized organization is preferred. Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive digital design principles is preferred. Experience with digital governance practices, template-based publishing environments, or web standards documentation is an asset. Requirements
