Industry leading benefits and wellness programs About the Opportunity Interpreting the application of accounting and assurance standards, the company’s Bylaws, Regulations, and the CPA Code of Professional Conduct to respond to members’ technical, regulatory, ethical, and practice management questions as well as students’ and the general public’s ethics-related matters. Liaising and assisting with various provincial and national and interprovincial committees as well as providing feedback on technical, ethical and practice matters/issues in addition to assisting with and/or coordinating projects. Developing and reviewing advisory-related guidance and support materials and tools including articles, webpages, company-specific publications as well as drafting policy papers. Communicating members’ concerns with the company’s Small Medium Practices Advisory Committee as well as conducting member outreach to raise the awareness of Professional Advisory Services. Coordinating consultation events to obtain feedback on proposed national and international accounting, assurance and ethics standards changes and preparing and providing feedback on exposure drafts. Participation in the development and delivery of training programs and webinars, coordinate and lead panel discussions on professional standards and practices. Providing insight on the technical professional standards to other regulatory functions and Business Units. Performing technical reviews of certain publications developed by the profession. Attending professional courses and other events to keep up to date with professional, standards laws, and regulations. About You A CPA member in good standing with a minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience combined with a strong working knowledge of Canadian accounting and assurance and related standards, CPA Ontario’s Member’s Handbook (Bylaws, Regulations, and CPA Code of Professional Conduct), as well as the proven ability to assess situations and determine compliance or non-compliance.
