ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Community Relations is responsible for developing and executing residence-specific sales and marketing objectives that support occupancy and revenue goals. This role oversees the Community Relations team and works collaboratively to foster a positive sales culture that aligns with the organization's values and commitment to exceptional resident experiences. The Director serves as a key ambassador for the residence, building community awareness, strengthening referral partnerships and ensuring every prospective resident receives an outstanding experience from initial inquiry through move-in. Key Responsibilities Lead and Inspire Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the Community Relations team. Recruit, onboard, and develop team members to achieve individual and collective goals. Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-focused sales excellence. Monitor team performance and key performance metrics, providing ongoing coaching and support. Drive Occupancy and Revenue Growth Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans. Manage lead generation, follow-up, conversion activities, and sales pipeline performance. Support the team in conducting tours, presentations, and consultations with prospective residents and families. Ensure occupancy targets and revenue goals are achieved through effective sales practices. Manages sales coverage schedule to maximize both in house and in community activities and provide 7 day a week coverage. Build Community Relationships Establish and maintain strong referral partnerships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and local stakeholders. Represent the residence at community events, networking opportunities, and public presentations. Enhance the residence's visibility and reputation within the local community. Deliver An Exceptional Resident Experience Support prospective residents and families throughout their decision-making and move-in journey. Ensure a smooth transition for new residents through coordination with internal departments. Address resident and family concerns professionally and collaboratively. Foster positive relationships that contribute to resident satisfaction and retention. Strategic Planning & Business Operations Lead quarterly business planning initiatives. Conduct competitive market analysis and identify growth opportunities. Monitor departmental budgets and expenses. Maintain accurate sales reporting and CRM data. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and quality standards Performs duties and ensures Community Relations team are in compliance with all applicable Regulations and the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred Minimum five years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, healthcare, hospitality, retirement living, real estate, or related industries. Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with computers, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools. Proven success leading teams and achieving business objectives. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
