The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian. Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.
