About the Position: Reporting to the Team Leader, the Welding Cell Operator will be responsible for but not limited to: Producing quality parts on time through efficient and accurate use of the robotic welder. Analyzes the production drawing to determine what fixtures are needed in order to create the required piece. Designs a fixture in Solidworks for use with the robot to create the parts indicated in the quantities required. Sources material from the Detail Plant or around the shop to create and build the fixture. Installs the fixture in the robot cell. Loads the required parts in the robot. Programs the machine to run in automatic or manual cycle. Performs routine maintenance on the robot. Ensures everything is loaded into the robot correctly and the proper program is set. Properly unloads completed pieces. Work Location: Hamilton ON. Position Requirements: Post secondary education in Welding Robotics, Welding/Fabrication or related field. 2 years experience working with robotic welding equipment. Understanding of Welding and Fitting Basic understanding of Programming Knowledge of fixture design Knowledge of touch sensing and seam tracking Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts Ability to read and interpret blueprints and procedures. A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment Compensation Package: Wage: $23.00-$29.00/Hour Vacation. Requirements

Candidates must have post-secondary education in Welding Robotics, Welding/Fabrication, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience with robotic welding equipment and the ability to read blueprints are required.
