They will also oversee product safety assurance, internal audits, and the development of strategic safety roadmaps to ensure regulatory compliance.

The SMS Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and maintaining the Safety Management System across all Transport Canada certificates while providing leadership to the department. They will also oversee product safety assurance, internal audits, and the development of strategic safety roadmaps to ensure regulatory compliance. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering or maintenance, including 2 years in an SMS team and 2 years in a leadership role. A strong understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) 573, 561, 521, and 604 is required.
