We are building a feature film slate from the ground up, and the people we hire now will shape how we develop, finance, produce, and deliver our films. Role Summary The Feature Film Line Producer will build and manages the day-to-day shooting budgets, operational schedules, vendor accounts, and freelance crew staffing for every project, and is the person who makes sure each film is delivered on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities Break down scripts and build detailed production budgets and shooting schedules in collaboration with the producers and director Manage day-to-day production spend, track costs against budget, and flag variances early with proposed solutions Set up and manage vendor accounts, negotiate rates, and issue and track purchase orders and contracts Recruit, hire, and contract freelance crew across departments, and negotiate crew deal memos within budget Build and maintain operational schedules covering prep, principal photography, wrap, and post handover Work closely with the Production Accountant on cash flow, cost reports, and tax incentive documentation Work with the Production Coordinator on logistics, travel, equipment, insurance, and crew onboarding Lead production meetings and communicate budget and schedule status to producers, executives, and financiers Ensure productions follow applicable guild and union agreements, health and safety requirements, and insurance conditions Develop repeatable budgeting, scheduling, and vendor processes that can scale as the film slate grows Qualifications 5+ years of experience in production management, including line producing or UPM work on feature films or comparable long-form scripted content Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget Advanced proficiency with budgeting and scheduling tools and softwares Strong vendor negotiation and crew deal-making skills Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; calm under pressure Comfortable building processes in a new, fast-growing division Prior experience working in both Canadian and U.S. production environments Nice to Have Post-secondary education in film production, business, or a related field Experience with independent or co-financed features and completion guarantor requirements Artificial Intelligence We use artificial intelligence to review and screen applications and materials. Candidates should be proficient with budgeting and scheduling software, skilled in vendor and crew negotiations, highly organized communicators, and comfortable working in a growing division; experience in Canadian and U.S. production environments is also requested.
