SERVICE ASSOCIATE, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE The Service Associate, Commercial Insurance is an important part of the Commercial Insurance team. Working closely with a team of Client Advisors, the Service Associate reviews and screens new insurance applications, ensure accurate entry of information into insurance portals, process renewals, policy changes, cancellations and reinstatement, record and communicate changes, bill accounts, and maintain strong working relationships with brokers. This role does not require prior insurance experience but rather strong excel and word skills as well as high attention to detail and an ability to manage/prioritize tasks in order to balance a busy workload. The keys to success in this role include having strong computer skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and the commitment to staying organized in a busy environment with changing priorities. LOCATION AND STATUS Richmond Hill, ON Full-time, permanent QUALIFICATIONS Insurance experience is considered an asset Experience in an office environment is preferred Experience with insurance document management software is considered an asset RIBO license, or working towards, considered an asset CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards is considered an asset VALUES & COMPETENCIES A high degree of professionalism and integrity Superior verbal and written communication skills Committed to excellence in customer service and builds a strong relationship at all levels Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products Familiar with insurance customer relationship software Demonstrated accountability and reliability in the quality and timeliness of work Able to prioritize in a busy environment to meet tight deadlines Flexible and adaptable with proven problem-solving skills Works well within a team and independently Critical thinker with attention to detail COMPENSATION Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 CAD annually Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as a candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity.
