Responsibilities Build and grow the Vancouver market: Establish a local presence by identifying new business opportunities, developing a strong sales pipeline, and expanding the customer base across BC and Western Canada. Develop strategic client relationships: Build and maintain relationships with restaurants, cafés, grocers, food processors, franchises, and multi-location businesses, while growing existing accounts and managing key customer relationships. Drive new business and account growth: Identify high-potential markets and customer segments, pursue new opportunities, negotiate agreements, and develop strategies to increase revenue through cross-selling and category expansion. Develop distributor partnerships: Build relationships with foodservice distributors and other channel partners to expand product availability and drive sales. Manage custom packaging projects: Coordinate customer projects from initial concept through artwork, sampling, production approval, and delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met. Collaborate across teams: Work closely with design, production, and overseas manufacturing partners to develop tailored packaging solutions and resolve customer or production challenges. Monitor market trends: Stay informed on packaging innovations, sustainability requirements, industry regulations, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for new product launches and market expansion. Own territory performance: Independently manage sales activities, customer meetings, negotiations, and account development while helping shape the company’s long-term regional growth strategy. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, with a proven track record of acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts. Demonstrated ability to manage strategic, high-value accounts, ideally with annual revenue of $1M or more. Experience in foodservice, packaging, disposable products, retail, or a related industry is strongly preferred. Experience managing custom product or packaging projects, including artwork, sampling, production timelines, and quality approvals, is preferred. Familiarity with overseas manufacturing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, pricing, import logistics, and supply chain coordination is an asset. Knowledge of Canadian single-use plastics regulations, BC packaging requirements, and sustainable alternatives such as recyclable or compostable materials is an asset. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to independently develop a new territory, identify opportunities, and turn relationships into revenue. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate creative concepts into compelling customer solutions.
