Company Description Arbutus Chartered Professional Accountants (Arbutus CPA) provides thoughtful, proactive accounting and tax services for business owners, professionals, individuals and families. The firm focuses on more than year-end compliance, supporting clients with strategic planning, efficient structuring, and informed financial decision-making. Services range from corporate tax and bookkeeping to advisory and estate planning, all aimed at building a strong foundation for long-term growth. In partnership with Arbutus Wealth, the team offers integrated tax and wealth planning under one roof, giving clients a coordinated and comprehensive financial perspective. Role Description The Administrative Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC, supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of Arbutus CPA. This role includes greeting clients, managing incoming calls and emails, and coordinating a variety of tax returns and other documentation. The Administrative Assistant will handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and maintaining organized records and office supplies. They will assist with preparing client correspondence and deliverables, assisting with accounts receivables, filing a variety of tax returns, and other tasks as needed. The role requires consistent, professional communication with clients and colleagues and a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and service quality. Salary range: $55,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Qualifications Reliable clerical skills, including data entry, file management, document formatting, and record keeping. Professional phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in person, by phone, and via email. High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Customer service mindset with a respectful, inclusive, and professional approach to all client and team interactions. Strong IT skills, proficiency in basic office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn to use new programs. Experience in a professional services or office environment is an asset, 1 year or more at an accounting firm is preferred. Bachelor's degree, or additional education in office administration or a related field is preferred.
