Job details
Integration Lead Location: Canada (Remote) Salary: $130,000 CAD Type: Full-Time Auxo is hiring an Integration Lead for a fast-growing Canadian AI startup digitizing how manufacturers source and buy custom parts, from quoting to purchase order. You’ll own the integrations that connect the platform to customers’ ERP systems, end-to-end: strategy, architecture, and hands-on delivery. The work spans two stacks and three deployment models: customer-hosted agents (.NET 8 Windows Services and Python) talking to on-prem ERPs over SOAP/WCF and REST, server-side connectors (Django + Celery) pulling cloud ERP APIs, and a document ingestion pipeline that parses PO PDFs when an ERP can only send email. You’ll set the standards, mentor a small team of integration engineers, and be the person everyone turns to when a customer’s sync breaks. This is not an architecture-only role where you draw diagrams and hand them off. It’s a builder-leader seat: you’ll write production code in both Python and C#/.NET, debug live incidents, and wrestle with the messiness of real ERP data. The pace is startup pace, and the problems are hard in the best way: idempotency, reconciliation, and keeping data identity intact across systems that don’t agree. The upside is real ownership. You’ll shape how an entire integrations function is built, cut the time it takes to bring new customers live, and work fully remote with a team that cares about results over hours. What You’ll Do Own the integration strategy, architecture, and roadmap across a portfolio including SAP (S/4HANA, BTP), Infor (SyteLine, LN), NetSuite, Dynamics, Epicor, Genius, EDI, and email-based ingestion Build and maintain integrations hands-on across Python (Django/DRF/Celery) connectors and .NET/C# customer-hosted agents Own the canonical mapping layer, translating each ERP’s purchase-order shape into the platform’s model and pushing confirmations back with line-key identity intact Lead and mentor a small team of integration engineers through code review and clear testing standards Serve as the primary escalation point for critical incidents: sync failures, data errors, auth/token issues, live production debugging Speed up customer onboarding by improving frameworks, connector patterns, simulators, and documentation Harden reliability with sync queues, idempotency, duplicate and loop guards, reconciliation, monitoring, and alerting Partner with customers, product, and engineering leadership to turn messy procurement requirements into scalable solutions Report on integration health and risk, and shape the platform’s long-term scalability and security Who You Are 5 to 8+ years in system integrations, backend/platform engineering, or technical implementation You’ve led engineers, either as a people manager or as a tech lead who mentored, reviewed code, and owned delivery Strong hands-on coder in Python or C#/.NET, with genuine ability to work in the other Deep experience integrating with ERP systems in production, including the reality of messy customer data Fluent with REST, JSON, and web services; comfortable with SOAP/WCF and enterprise auth (OAuth2 client-credentials, JWT, Windows auth) Solid SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL), with strong mapping/ETL skills and experience reconciling data across systems Calm, sharp judgment under live-incident pressure Clear communicator with customers, senior leadership, and non-technical stakeholders B2B SaaS experience, or familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, or procurement (an asset) Celery or other async/data-pipeline processing (an asset) Deploying on-prem agents (Windows Services, service accounts, firewalled networks) (an asset) Email ingestion (Graph/Outlook, Gmail, IMAP) and document parsing, including LLM-assisted extraction (an asset) EDI, AWS (or GCP/Azure), or building an integrations function from scratch (an asset) This role isn't directly for Auxo. As a recruitment agency, we assist early-stage startups and scaleups with their recruitment processes. We advertised this role for one of our clients. The retained candidate for this role will be hired directly by our client, not subcontracted by Auxo.
